The South Korean government has expanded the supply of public masks in order to address blind spots of foreigner’s health. As of April 20th, 2020 (Monday), registered foreigners (including residence reporter) can purchase masks at public mask vendors such as nationwide pharmacies if they present their alien registration card, permanent residence card or residence report card. Previously, it was necessary to carry health insurance card, but from now on, you can purchase it without having health insurance card. (Can be purchased regardless of whether or not you have health insurance)

1. Purchases are not possible without an ID or illegal stay.

2. Unauthorized purchase of masks in the name of another person may result in criminal punishment.

3. Proxy purchase is not possible.
