2021 27th Global Internship Recruitment Announcement

The Seoul Metropolitan Government is recruiting international student interns to broaden their understanding of Korean society and organizational culture by giving them the opportunity to work as interns in each department, subsidiary, and general company in Seoul, and to help participants develop careers and employment as follows:

 1. 27^th Global Internship Overview

A. Internship period: 2021. 1. 4(Mon) ~ 2. 19.(Fri) [7 weeks, 35 days]

B. Recruitment number: 15 people

○ Public sector (9 departments, including municipal offices and offices): 11 people

○ Private sector (Four companies, including general companies) : 4 people

※ The actual number of people assigned may change depending on the selection results, etc.

C. Working hours: 5 days a week, 6 hours a day (09:00~16:00)

※ Working hours can be changed according to circumstances and consultation matters such as the placement agency

D. Work details: Overseas marketing, interpretation and translation (consultation), international business support, etc.

2. Global Internship Recruitment Details

A. Qualification requirements ※ Those who do not meet the qualification requirements cannot apply

○ Students who are currently enrolled in a university in Seoul (undergraduate, master's, and doctoral programs) and have completed 4 or more semesters at the university (for masters and doctoral programs, have completed 2 or more semesters) ※ Excluding the current semester

○ Those who hold a student visa (D-2) and whose period of stay in Korea is valid until February 28, 2021

○ Those with TOPIK level 4~6 ※Within validity period (2 years)

○ Those who have no reason for disqualification in issuing a part-time work permit

※After final acceptance, a part-time work permit must be issued and submitted at the immigration office.

○ Optional: Computer literacy certificate, language skills certificate, etc.

B. Selection method

○ Document screening (Seoul City): Rating by screening item → Recommendation of top 3 participating organizations

※ Evaluation items: ① Concordance with institutional requirements (major and language) ② Korean language ability (Grade by level) ③ Academic performance

○ Interview screening (participating agency): Evaluate attitude (motivation for support), ability to express opinions, and development potential

C. Activity benefits

○ Intern activity allowance (52,320 won per day, lunch cost 5,000 won, weekly vacation allowance (full time))

○ Industrial accident insurance subscription ※Seoul city collective subscription

○ Internship completion certificate (in the name of the mayor of Seoul, when working more than 80%)

D. Required Documents

★ The submission will be submitted only to the applicant (three times the number of applicants) and if the applicant does not submit the supporting documents or if the application contents are different, the acceptance will be cancelled.

1. Alien registration card (Copy, valid for the period of stay in Korea until February 28, 2021)

2. Certificate of enrollment (Issued within the last month)

3. Transcript (Issued within the last month),

4. Proof of Korean Language Proficiency Test (TOPIK) score (original, valid certificate)

○ (Optional)

Computer-aided certifications, non-Korean language certificates, and other certificates

※ Submission period and submission method, etc. will be provided to the successful applicants.

4. Selection Process

A. 1^st Document screening

○ Selection criteria: Relevance to the requirements of recruiting organizations (language, etc.), TOPIK score, academic record, etc.

○ Selection number: Within 3 times of each institution

○ Announcement of Results: 2020.11.20.(Fri) Individual information on the scheduled interview.

※ All candidates (passed/failed) will be informed of individual evaluation results (text, email, etc.)

B. 2^nd Interview

○ Selection criteria: Understanding and appropriateness of the job content of the recruiting agency, communication skills, etc.

○ Selection method: Individual interview (interview at the recruiting agency during the interview period)

※ Interview scheduled date: 11.30.(Mon)~12.4(Fri) (Detailed scheduled will be announced later)

C. Announcement of final successful applicants: December 2020

※ All candidates (passed/failed) will be guided individually, and if there are no eligible candidates, selection may not be made.
