Youth TLO Fostering Program Graduation Ceremony Held, Employs 25 People in Samsung Electronics, etc.

Kwangwoon University Research & Business Foundation (Director Park Cheol-Hwan) held a graduation ceremony for the Youth TLO Training Project on Thursday, February 25, 2021.

The youth TLO (Technology Licencing Officer) nurturing project was a project that received approximately 900 million won from the Ministry of Science and ICT from August 2018 to February 2021 to improve the employment rate of unemployed graduates in science and engineering. Kwangwoon University's unemployed graduates of science and engineering were hired to promote practical training for technical commercialization. As a result, a total of 25 people, including 1 in LG Chem, 1 in Emerson Korea, and 3 in Samsung Electronics, succeeded in finding employment.

At this graduation ceremony, five people who were hired as a youth TLO fostering project with high participation in the capacity building program and excellent work performance were awarded a citation from the Director of Research & Business Foundation. 

Park Cheol-hwan, Director of Research & Business Foundation, said, “We plan to operate a variety of research & business programs in connection with Kwangwoon Network consisting of family companies, alumni companies, and joint research companies so that unemployed graduates of our science and engineering field can get a job at the desired company.” He added, "We will make an effort to improve the employment rate by actively supporting more graduates who are not employed in science and engineering through the follow-up project of [Business-related Youth Technology Professional Training Project]." 

On the other hand, at the graduation ceremony for the youth TLO fostering project held at the Business & Research Foundation, Park Cheol-hwan, Business & Research Foundation Director, Jang Soo-woong, Research Support Team, Um Won-kyung, Seoul Startup Guide, Yun Chang-won, Vice Center Director, Industry-Academic Business Team, Yoo Jae-hoon, technical holding company manager Im Hae-ju attended.
