Information on Shortening the Interval Between the 3rd Dose of COVID-19 Vaccine (Ministry of Education)
The Korea Disease Control and Prevention
Agency (KDCA) has shortened the interval for the third dose of COVID-19 vaccine
to 3 months (90 days) for all citizens over the age of 18 (born after 2003).

○ (Eligibility) All citizens over the age of 18 who have
passed 3 months (90 days) after the completion of the second vaccination.
* For immunocompromised, Johnson &
Johnson vaccinated person, the 3rd dose is given 2 months (60 days) after
completion of the vaccination
* Sending individual notices to the eligible
candidates (12.13 (Mon), Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency)
○ (Reservation method) Online advance reservation (individual or
proxy reservation, ncvr.kdca.go.kr), phone reservation (1339, local government
call center), visit reservation at community center
* When making a reservation in advance, the
inoculation date can be selected from 3 months (90 days) after the completion
of the second vaccination and 2 days after the reservation date
○ (Reservation/vaccination schedule)Reservation schedule: From 12.13 (Mon),
Vaccination schedule: From 12.15 (Wed)

Same-day vaccination is possible with residual vaccines through SNS and medical
institution preliminary lists
○ (Interval between vaccinations) 3 to 6 months (90 to 180 days) after the 1st and 2nd dose, the validity period of the vaccination certificate ends after 180 days.
