Kwangwoon University professor Taekyun Kim from the Department of Mathematics was selected as the Best Scientist in the field of mathematics announced in 2022 by Research.com, an authoritative academic information service platform. 

According to Research.com, based on the data collected in December 2021, Professor Taekyun Kim was ranked 525th in the world and 2nd in Korea with an H-index of 51, 509 thesis publications, and being cited 9.167 times.

This ranking is based on the H-index measurement provided by Microsoft Academic, and it includes major scientists with an H-index of 30 or higher for academic theses published in the field of mathematics. 

Professor Taekyun Kim is mainly researching the number theory in the field of algebra, and it is worth mentioning that he was also named the World's Most Influential Researcher in 2016 by Clarviate Analytics, an academic information service.
