Professor Chung Donghun (School of Media and Communication) of Kwangwoon University has published a new book “로봇, 너 때는 말이야” [Robot, Your Time] for the protagonists of the digital transformation era.

“Robot, Your Time” is the fourth book in the “Your Time” series, first published in 2020. “Robot, Your Time” explains robots in the age of digital transformation simply and engagingly using various examples.

The book presents the reader with various examples of robots that will coexist with us humans in the era of digital transformation. “Robot, Your Time” is not limited only to the concept and use of robots, but it also discusses the various problems that robots can bring and new problems that all of humanity will face. The book gives the reader much food for thought.

By revealing that robotics is not just a field limited to engineering, but a multidisciplinary field that spans various major fields such as humanities, society, and culture, this book shows that even with varying backgrounds, anyone can become a remarkable expert in the field of robotics. In addition, to help the reader understand the material better, the book has QR codes so that users can watch videos after reading.

The author, Professor Chung Donghun, has an undergraduate degree in Philosophy, a Master’s degree in Broadcasting, Ph.D. in Communication, and he studied Computer Science during his research year. He is a professor at the School of Media and Communication at Kwangwoon University who is interested in the practical side of convergence. He has served as an assistant professor in the Department of Communication at the University of Arkansas and a visiting scholar in the Department of Computer Science at Columbia University. He was also responsible for the development and marketing of usability evaluation software for an American software company. Proposing action projects for marketing and policy by analyzing user experience (UX) is his major research area. So far, Professor Chung Donghun has published more than 90 domestic and international research papers, books such as "Virtual Reality Concept Dictionary", and "Smart City, the Beginning of Utopia", and carried out more than 40 projects. He has written more than 180 columns and has won 15 awards, including the Commendation of the Chairman of the Broadcasting and Communications Commission. Professor Chung Donghun is working to create a human-centered digital society through digital transformation strategy consulting for governments and businesses.
