Prof. Lee Jihoon and his Research Team Significantly Improved Photodetector Responsiveness Incorporating MoS2 Nanoflake and ZnO Quantum Dot Blended Active Layers on AuPd Nanoparticles
-
Significantly improved photosensor photoreactivity by applying metasurface-based
gold-nanoshell platinum-core hybrid particle technology and molybdenum
disulfide nanoflakes (MoS2 Nanoflakes)
- Selected as
ACS Applied Nano Materials journal cover
The research team of Professor Jihoon Lee of the Department of Electronic Engineering at Kwangwoon University and Shusen Lin (the first author), researcher of the Integrated Master's and Doctorate Program at the Department of Electronic Engineering have succeeded in developing a ‘hybrid NUV (near-ultraviolet) photodetector’ that integrates metasurface plasmon-based gold-palladium core-shell nanoparticles, molybdenum disulfide nanoflakes, and zinc oxide quantum dots.
This research was carried out with support from the National Research Foundation of Korea and the Ministry of Education, the support project for mid-level researchers, a key research institute, BK-21, and Kwangwoon University. The research results were published in the scientific journal ACS Applied Nano Materials (JCR IF: 4.86) under the title of “MoS2 Nanoflake and ZnO Quantum Dot Blended Active Layers on AuPd Nanoparticles for UV Photodetectors”. It was also selected as a journal cover for ACS-ANM Volume 5, issue 3.
