2022 Fall Dormitory Recruitment for International Students 

 

1. Eligibility

A. Kwangwoon University 2022 fall semester international freshmen, transfer, enrolled undergraduate, exchange, transfer, language courses, and graduate students.

B. Restrictions:

          1) Those who have been suspended for disciplinary action by Kwangwoon University

2) Those who have been forcibly suspended from the dormitory

3) Those who are planning to take a leave of absence or have already taken it, except those who plan to return for the fall semester

4) Severe snoring, infectious disease (such as Pulmonary Tuberculosis, etc.)   

5) Those who submit the falsified documents

6) Those who fail to comply with the rules of operation and living standards of dorms, and those who fail to comply with the conditions of application to the dormitory 

7) Others who are deemed inappropriate by the dormitory director

 Korean students will be selected separately by the dormitory management team.

4. Dormitory amenities

A. Private facilities: Bed, bookshelf, desk, chair, closet, toilet, shower room, Internet, etc.

B. Public facilities: Laundry room, ironing room, fitness room, seminar room, storage lockers, communal kitchen, parking lot, etc.

C. Personal preparations: Bedding, personal necessities such as toiletries

  Fill out the furnishings checklist for each individual and submit it to the dormitory team

  Attend orientation (required)

 Students who want to move in after October 1st due to problems with air tickets, etc., must notify the Office of International Affairs (chen0808@kw.ac.kr) in advance.

 Only approved students can move in after October 1st

7. Regarding move-in cancellation

A. Students who do not move in without permission after October 1st: will not be able to enter the dormitory in future semesters

B. If you want to cancel the dormitory after applying,

- If successful applicants notify the cancellation of the dormitory after the move-in date: They are deemed to have resided in the dormitory from August 16 and must pay the dormitory fee under the refund policy.

(Example: If you cancel your move-in on August 23rd, you will have to pay the 8-day residence fee penalty)

 

8. Required documents

 Documents required before moving in: Pulmonary tuberculosis test (Chest X-Ray)

A. Submission period: 2022.07.25 (Mon) - 2022.08.12 (Fri) (only taken after 2022.06.16 will be accepted)

B. Submission method: Email to m951158w@naver.com

Email subject- student number, student name (20210203_김광운)

 Students who have submitted a pulmonary tuberculosis test certificate and are permitted to enter the dormitory can enter from August 16 (Tuesday).

 Students who have already moved in for the spring semester of 2022 must re-submit

 

 Documents required on the move-in day

A. Submission period and method: Upon entering the dormitory, submit it to the dormitory management team and receive the access card

B. Q-Code, one copy of COVID-19 PCR test negative confirmation result (test taken within 48 hours of move-in date, PCR negative confirmation letter, and paper certificate)

COVID-19 test-related matters are subject to change    

 

9. Notes

A. The dormitory fees do not include meals.

B. Selection is based on internal selection criteria and may not be made after application.

C. Room can be reassigned to save energy and utilize vacancies.

D. Application for entry is possible only if the personal information registration (student number, contact information, date of birth, e-mail, major, etc.) was written correctly.

E. You may be penalized for canceling your move-in without permission.
