2022 Spring Semester Regional Linked Class Results Friends Day Completion

Kwangwoon University Campus Town Project Team (Director Park Taewon) provided students with opportunities to recognize problems in the region and explore ideas through the operation of regional-linked classes and programs in the spring semester of 2022. Regional-linked classes, which have been in operation since 2019, are aimed at providing opportunities for understanding and communication to university members and locals by linking regular university classes with the region, and to derive awareness and ideas about current issues in the region. Classes are operated in connection with four regular subjects within Kwangwoon University's undergraduate and graduate schools. Regional-linked classes are operated every semester and a performance presentation meeting, Performance Friends Day, is held at the end of the semester to award the best teams with the Seoul Mayor’s Award, Kwangwoon University President’s Award, Nowon-gu Office Director’s Award, and Campus Town Project Team Leader’s Award.

 

A total of 102 students participated in the regional-linked classes for the 2022 spring semester.

 

Supervisors and subjects were: Urban Planning and Real Estate Development, Theory of Urban Planning and Real Estate Prof. Park Taewon (Campus Town Project Director); ICT Startup Project and Intellectual Property Rights by Professor Lee Kyunghak, College of Electronics and Information; The Technology Startup Strategy and Practice by Professor Son Heesang of the Department of Chemical Engineering.

 

The 2022 Spring Semester Achievement Friends Day was held for the 7th time on June 23rd at 6:30-8:30 in the lecture hall of Saebit Hall, Kwangwoon University. A total of 9 teams, 2-3 teams selected for each class, gathered, and presented the results of their work. After that, awards and certificates were given.

 

 

 

The winners:

 

The project received the Grand Prize (Seoul Mayor's Award) under the theme of "Vitalizing the Wolgye-dong Economy Through Plastic Vending Machines", and 4 teams received the Excellence Award (Kwangwoon University President's Award / Nowon-gu Office Director's Award) and 4 teams received the Encouragement Award (Campus Town Business Group Director's Award).
