Kwangwoon University Selected for the "DDM Youth Startup Center Unicorn" Operation Project

The Industrial-Academic Cooperation Group of Kwangwoon University (Director Jung Young-wook) was selected for the "DDM Youth Startup Center Unicorn" operation project organized by Dongdaemun-gu. 

「DDM Youth Startup Center Unicorn」 is scheduled to open in May 2023 and will be located on the 3rd floor of Youth Housing in front of Hoegi Station in Hwigyeong-dong, Dongdaemun-gu. This center aims to create a youth startup ecosystem utilizing regional characteristics, vitalize youth startups, and provide customized support for each stage of growth through selection, extension, and graduation of resident companies. In particular, it plans to play an important role in creating jobs for young people in the region through the establishment of a cooperative system with external organizations such as promotion of specialized projects and support for attracting investment, and fostering youth startups centered on Seoul.

Chung Young-wook, head of the 「DDM Youth Startup Center Unicorn」 said, "We will do our best to create a healthy start-up ecosystem from the center of Seoul to the northeast by linking Dongdaemun's major start-up infrastructure with Kwangwoon University's start-up infrastructure”.
