Receives Outstanding Paper Award at
Semiconductor Engineering Society Summer Conference
?
Professor
Hyuncheol Shin (Department of Electronics Convergence Engineering) and his
research team received the Outstanding Paper Award at the Semiconductor
Engineering Society's Summer Conference held in the first half of this year.
The
paper awarded, '60 GHz Band I/Q Phase Adjustment CMOS LO Buffer Design'
(Authors: Seongmin Lee (Master's Program), Dr. Yongho Lee, and Professor
Hyuncheol Shin), is about the design of an integrated circuit for a CMOS LO
generator that enables precise orthogonal phase adjustment in the 60 GHz band
next-generation millimeter-wave wireless communication RF transceivers. This
research was funded by the mid-career researcher support project of the
Ministry of Science and ICT. The award was received in recognition of the
creativity and excellence of the CMOS LO buffer MMIC integrated circuit design.
Meanwhile, the High-Speed Integrated Circuits and Systems Lab (https://sites.google.com/view/hicsl) of the Electronic Convergence Engineering Department is conducting research in the field of system semiconductor integrated circuits and antenna design in the RF, millimeter wave, and analog fields for the for 5G mobile communications and millimeter wave wireless communications, under the guidance of Professor Hyuncheol Shin.
