The research team of Professor Ji-hoon Lee (Department
of Electronic Engineering) at Kwangwoon University, in collaboration with
doctoral researcher Aha San (first author), has successfully developed the
world's first dual-functional spherical electrocatalyst electrode doped with ruthenium-nickel-boride-phosphide
(Ru/Ni-B-P) for highly efficient green hydrogen production.
This research was supported by the BK-21, Key Research Center Project of the
National Research Foundation of Korean, the Ministry of Education's , and
Kwangwoon University. The research findings were published in the online
version of the scientific journal Small (JCR category PHYSICS, CONDENSED
MATTER, ranking 7th Q1, IF: 13.3) in November 2023 under the title
"Dual-functional Ru/Ni-B-P electrocatalyst towards accelerated water
electrolysis and high-stability.
