The Gangbuk Youth Startup Maru, operated by Kwangwoon University’s Industry-Academic Collaboration Foundation (Director Young-wook Jung), was selected as the implementing organization for Gangbuk-gu for the '2024 Youth Growth Project'. The '2024 Youth Growth Project Support Agreement Signing Ceremony' took place on March 6th, with the officials from the Seoul Regional Office of the Ministry of Employment and Labor, the Seoul Metropolitan Government, seven Seoul City Consortium districts, and four implementing organizations.

The primary focus of this agreement is to support new employees’ workplace adaptation within small and medium enterprises in Seoul, and to create a youth-friendly organizational culture. This day marked the commencement of the first year of implementation of the 2024 Youth Growth Project, which aims to enhance the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises under the Framework Act on Small and Medium Enterprise and support the workplace adaptation of young new employees.

According to the Kwangwoon University’s Industry-Academic Collaboration Foundation (Director Young-wook Jung), they intend to create a healthy organizational culture within companies and improve the young people’s ability to adapt to the workplace by the 'Nudgy Project' for emphasizing organizational culture education for youth-friendly companies and the 'Stepping Stone' program, which focuses on onboarding training for new employees, all operated through the Gangbuk Youth Startup Maru.

The Gangbuk Youth Startup Maru plans to conduct workplace adaptation and organizational culture training as well as 1:1 mentoring to employees of 20 incubator companies and executives of other companies. It also plans to provide 1:1 adaptation mentoring and group adaptation counseling for young people employed by companies in the Gangbuk Youth Startup Maru.

In addition to these initiatives, the Gangbuk Youth Startup Maru also carries out its own programs, including startup consulting, startup academies, and enterprise capability enhancement programs for startups and young prospective entrepreneurs.

Director Jung said, "We aim to help young people settle down in the workplace by actively supporting the education and mentoring they need to adapt to work life."

The recruitment for the Gangbuk Youth Startup Maru's 'Youth-Friendly Company Nudge Project' and 'New Employee Onboarding ‘Stepping Stone' will be held in April and can be found on the Gangbuk Youth Startup Maru website (gbmaru.com).
