Kwangwoon University Selected for University Contribution Support Project for High School Education for 12 Consecutive Years
- Plans to Implement Transparent and Fair University Admission

Kwangwoon University
has been selected for the 'University Contribution Support Project for High
School Education (Type I)' organized by the Ministry of Education for 12 consecutive
years (2013-2024).
The project aims to
support universities’ fair and transparent admission processes and active
collaboration in response to changes in high school curriculum, and it
comprehensively evaluates universities on the basis of ▲enhancing
the fairness and accountability of university admissions, ▲reducing
the burden on applicants, ▲strengthening the student
selection function and enhancing professionalism, and ▲ linking
high school education.
Kwangwoon University
will receive government funding as it has been selected for 12 consecutive
years since the establishment of the University Contribution Support Project for
High School Education in 2013. The funding is set to be finalized in July.
Over the years, Kwangwoon
University has been recognized for its contributions in ensuring the fairness
of university admissions by enhancing the operation and reliability of
evaluations, solidifying the education and training system for admission
officers and related staff, conducting research on admission process
improvement, and establishing consultative bodies with high schools and
metropolitan and provincial education offices to support the high school credit
system.

of Admissions at Kwangwoon University, said, "With this selection, Kwangwoon
University plans to implement a transparent and fair university admission
system by strengthening the foundation of admission fairness, rationally
operating the opportunity balance system, simplifying and rationalizing the
admission process, and enhancing the provision of information related to
admissions."
