Hyuk-ki Kwon, Student in the Research team of Professor Chul-hwan Park 's (Chemical Engineering) Wins the Excellent Poster Presentation Award at the Korean Institute of Chemical Engineers

- Improvement in synthesis efficiency of naringin acetate based on statistical modeling -

Hyuk-ki Kwon, a master’s student in the research team of Professor Chul-hwan Park in the Department of Chemical Engineering, won the Excellent Poster Presentation Award at the ‘2024 KIChE Spring Meeting’ held at Jeju ICC from April 24 to 26. About 1,500 latest research findings and around 980 poster presentations were conducted at the academic conference, under the theme of 'Chemical Engineering Innovating the Future.'. Hyuk-ki Kwon’s poster, ‘Statistical Modeling of Variables Interaction for Efficient Enzymatic Synthesis of Naringin Acetate' was selected for his excellent research, ranking in the top 3% in the biochemical engineering poster presentation category.

Student Hyuk-ki Kwon said, ‘It was a great experience to learn a lot about statistical modeling and analysis, and I felt fulfilled being able to introduce it to many people. Through this experience, I hope to continue my research on the production of high-value-added substances based on biocatalysts and grow into an expert in the related industry.’

Professor Chul-hwan Park said, 'I feel rewarded as an advisor by seeing the students' active research attitude.  I hope they continue to grow into talents in the field of biochemical engineering through various research experiences.'
