The
opening ceremony of the Dobong-gu Youth Entrepreneurship Center, which has been
operated by the Kwangwoon University Industry-Academic Collaboration Foundation
(Director Young-uk Jeong) since March after being selected as a private
consignment operator, was held on May 24th with about 60 people,
including Kwangwoon University President Jangho Chun and Dobong-gu Mayor Eon-seok
Oh.
The
Dobong-gu Youth Entrepreneurship Center was established at Seed Cube Chang-dong
with a size of 637.02㎡ to support young entrepreneurs aged
19 to 45 with promising ideas, and 16 youth startups have begun moving in since
April. The center plans to play a key role in the success of various youth
employment and entrepreneurship policies by building a startup ecosystem linked
to the local infrastructure, focusing on fostering early-stage entrepreneurs
within three years, and enhancing synergy with Dobong-gu's Small and Medium
Business Startup Incubation Center and Seoul Startup Hub Chang-dong.
Jangho
Chun, President of Kwangwoon University , who attended the event, said, "I
hope the Dobong-gu Youth Entrepreneurship Center will grow into a startup
innovation platform in northeastern Seoul."
