Recruitment of International Students for Public Dormitory (Bitsoljae) for the Second Semester of the 2024 Academic Year
1. Eligibility
A. International freshmen and transfer students,
international undergraduates, exchange students, language students, and
international graduate students who are enrolled in Kwangwoon University for
the 2nd semester of the 2024 academic year.
B. Exclusion Criteria
1)
Those who have received a disciplinary action of suspension or higher under
Kwangwoon University’s academic regulations
2)
Those who have received a disciplinary action of forced discharge from the residence
hall (dormitory)
3)
Those who have withdrawn or are planning to take a semester off (However,
returning students can apply for a dormitory)
4)
Severe snoring, contagious diseases, and carriers (Pulmonary Tuberculosis,
etc.)
5)
Those who submitted supporting documents that are different from the
application information.
6)
Those who fail to comply with the dormitory regulations and rules, and those
who do not agree to the conditions of recruitment in the dormitory.
7)
Others who are deemed inappropriate by the dormitory director
※ Korean students will be selected separately by the dormitory
management team.

4. Dormitory amenities
A.
Private facilities: Bed, bookshelf, desk, chair, closet, toilet, shower room,

B.
Public facilities: Laundry room, ironing room, fitness room, seminar room,
unattended courier locker, shared kitchen, parking lot, etc.
C.
Personal preparations: Bedding, personal necessities such as toiletries.

7. Regarding move-in cancellation
A.
After October 1st, students who have not moved into the dormitory
without permission: During the period of enrollment, dormitory entry is prohibited.
B.
In case of cancellation after applying for the dormitory,

If the applicants notify us of the cancellation of the dormitory after the
entry date: They are deemed to have lived in the dormitory since August 13 and
must pay the dormitory fee according to the refund policy. (Example: If you
cancel your move-in on August 20, you will have to pay the 8-day residence fee
penalty.)
8. Required documents (Mandatory)
◆ Pulmonary tuberculosis test (chest
X-ray), Measles vaccination certificate (total of 2 doses recorded)
A. Submission period: 2024.07.25(Thu) ~ 2024.08.08 (Thu) until 2PM (Only check-ups
after 2024.06.13 is accepted)
B. How to submit: Submission
through email - hajumi@kw.ac.kr ,
[Title of the Email should be in format of “Student
ID, Student name, Dormitory”
(20230203_KWU_Dormitory) ]
Move-in will be
canceled if not submitted within the deadline.
※ Students who have submitted
a pulmonary tuberculosis test certificate and have been approved to move in are
allowed to enter the dormitory from August 13 (Tue).
※ Students who
have already moved in for the 1st semester of 2024 must submit the
application again
9. Notes
A. The dormitory fees do not include meals.
B.
Selection is based on internal selection criteria and may not be selected after
application.
C.
Room rearrangement may be made to save energy and utilize vacant rooms.
D.
Applicants must accurately fill out personal information (student number,
contact information, date of birth, e-mail, major, etc.) to apply for a
dormitory.
E.
Disadvantages may occur if you cancel your move-in without permission after
selection.
