Signs MOU for Mutual Cooperation with Gyeonggi Game Meister High School
- Collaboration Expected in Jointly Developing Industry-tailored Curricula and Creating a Practical, Work-centered Educational Environment for Employees -
On Tuesday, August 6, 2024, the Game Contents Department at the College of
Veritas et Lux Talents Development (head by Hyung-won Jung) signed a Memorandum
of Understanding (MOU) for mutual cooperation with Gyeonggi Game Meister High
School (Principal Dae-sik Jeong).
Gyeonggi Game Meister High School is the only Meister high school in the
country specializing in the game industry, with the goal of nurturing creative
game developers who will lead the future of the gaming industry.
At the signing ceremony, Dean Kim Sung-gil of the College of Veritas et Lux
Talents Development, Professor Hyung-won Jung, Head of the Game Contents Department,
and Professor Soo-young Cho from the Game Contents Department attended.
Principal Dae-sik Jeong of Gyeonggi Game Meister High School and two other
officials were also present to grace the occasion.
Through this agreement, the two institutions will collaborate on: ▲ Developing
industry-specific curricula; ▲ Creating practical, work-focused educational
environments for employees; and ▲ Jointly participating in and sharing
expertise on work-study programs.
Sung-gil Kim, Dean of the College of Veritas et Lux Talents Development,
said, "With this agreement, we hope that the Game Contents Department at
Kwangwoon University, in collaboration with Gyeonggi Game Meister High School,
will contribute to the advancement of game education in Korea and provide
practical support to Gyeonggi Game Meister High School students in areas such
as employment, career development, and research.
