Professor
Jae-cheol Kang, an Endowed Professor at our university's Graduate School of
Construction Legal Affairs, was awarded the Republic of Korea's Order of
Service Merit, Red Stripes, by President Suk-yeol Yoon in recognition of his 36
years and 11 months of dedicated service as a judge, during which he made
significant contributions to the establishment of Korea's judicial order. The
conferral of the medal took place on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, during the
'Retired Judges Medal Presentation and Commendation Ceremony,' and was
presented by Chief Justice Hee-dae Cho.
Professor
Jae-cheol Kang was appointed as a judge at the Masan District Court and later
served as the Chief Judge of the Goyang Branch of the Uijeongbu District Court
in Gyeonggi Province, before retiring in July 2023 as a Senior Judge at the
Seoul Central District Court.
Professor
Jae-cheol Kang, who was appointed as an Endowed Professor at our university's
Graduate School of Construction Legal Affairs in August last year, has been
actively contributing to practical education and student recruitment by
teaching courses such as “Construction Litigation and Practice” and
“Construction Appraisal,” as well as offering special lectures. He has also
been working closely with major law firms to enhance students' practical
training.
