Expansion of Support for Youth Workplace
Adaptation Expected through ‘On-Site Lectures’
- 2024 Youth Growth Project by
the Ministry of Employment and Labor is operated by Gangbuk Youth Maru, managed
by the Kwangwoon University Industry-Academic Collaboration Foundation -

Gangbuk
Youth Startup Maru (Director Hye-jin Kwon), operated by the Kwangwoon
University Industry-Academic Collaboration Foundation (Director Young-wook
Jung) announced that it held the 'Youth Growth Project Onboarding Program' over
two days, September 24 (Tuesday) and 25 (Wednesday), at ROBOROBO Co., Ltd., an
ed-tech company located in Gangbuk-gu.
The Youth Growth Project, launched in 2024 by the
Ministry of Employment and Labor with Gangbuk Youth Startup Maru as the
implementing agency, aims to support young professionals in adapting smoothly
to new workplace environments. Additionally, it helps companies foster
youth-friendly organizational cultures, creating a space where both young
talent and businesses can thrive.
This project took the form of
‘on-site lectures’ to assist young new hires at ROBOROBO Co., Ltd. adapt to the
workplace. The program at Gangbuk
Youth Startup Maru was conducted through company visits so as not to disrupt
the work of participating companies. It provided tailored, practical education
for the workplace, including mindset training on the roles and attitudes
expected of new hires, as well as simulated team leader exercises that focused
on collaboration, task management, and communication skills. In addition, the
program offered training tailored to each company's unique needs, such as
edtech planning using AI and training on generative AI applications, to enhance
practical skills and improve work efficiency.

Day 1 of the training focused on the theme ‘Accidental
Team Leader: Managing a Team,’ aimed at strengthening team cohesion, learning
ways to understand and respect others, and providing guidance on task
management and efficiency. On Day 2, under the theme ‘Attitude as My
Competitive Edge,’ sessions covered the roles and mindset expected of new
employees, with a lecture on resilience needed for onboarding. Participants
also engaged in a game designed to highlight and articulate the strengths of
their company. Going forward, Gangbuk Youth Startup Maru will also provide
one-on-one expert mentoring for new employees participating in the training,
offering support for job-related and psychological counseling as needed.
Ye-seul Han, an employee of ROBOROBO Co., Ltd. who
attended the training, shared, “The onboarding program was a great opportunity
to learn the importance of communication and basic business etiquette. I hope
to continue receiving similar training in the future.”
Young-wook Jung, Director of the Kwangwoon University
Industry-Academic Collaboration Foundation, noted, “We hope that the Youth
Growth Project, through the participation of many companies and young
professionals, will enhance workplace adaptability, communication skills, and
youth-friendly environments, fostering growth potential for both employees and
businesses.”
Meanwhile, Kwangwoon University and Gangbuk Youth
Startup Maru will continue to actively support the revitalization of local
businesses and the expansion of youth-friendly, customized consulting services.
Applications are now open for the Youth Growth Project onboarding program.
Companies with an address in Gangbuk-gu, as well as new hires with less than
one year of experience who work or live in the area, can apply through the
