Lee Ki-won (Department of Chemical Engineering) received the 'Miwon Commercial Young Scientist Award' at the 2024 Korean Society of Industrial and Engineering Chemistry (KSIEC) Fall Meeting. The event took place from October 30 (Wednesday) to November 1 (Friday) at the Kimdaejung Convention Center in Gwangju.

The Miwon Commercial Young Scientist Award, established in 2016 with the sponsorship of Miwon Commercial, recognizes promising young researchers with significant academic potential and encourages their contributions to the field.

Professor Lee was recognized for his exceptional research expertise in polymers and electronic materials, along with his promising potential to drive the future advancement of industrial chemistry.

Joining Kwangwoon University as a professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering in 2023, Professor Lee specializes in flexible/stretchable polymers, electronic materials, and wearable electronic devices. He has published numerous outstanding research papers in these areas.

Reflecting on the award, Professor Lee commented, "This achievement is not just a personal milestone but a result of the collaborative efforts with many co-researchers. I will continue to actively pursue research in the field while also striving to nurture talented individuals who will lead the future."
