University's Humanities Utmost Sharing System Project Team (HUSS Project Team),
led by Director Lee Hye-young, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with
the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at Nanjing University of
Aeronautics and Astronautics, China, on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at the
Hwadogwan Grand Conference Room. The agreement covers student exchanges,
faculty dispatch, and the organization of academic conferences.
This agreement
was established to strengthen the global partnership between the two
institutions in fostering interdisciplinary talent in the humanities and social
sciences, contributing to sustainability and global symbiosis.
The signing
ceremony was attended by Lee Hye-young, Director of the HUSS Project Team,
along with Deputy Director Lee Jun-hee, Professors Kim Jung-soo, Seo Ui-kyung,
Seon Ji-a, and Lee Seul-gi, as well as Team Leader So Min-kwang. Representing
Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics were Party Secretary Chao
Guangxing of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, Deputy Director
Jang Hyo-yeon of the Party Committee's Publicity Department, Professors Guo Li,
Son Han-gi, and Mu Su-long, and Administrative Manager Sa Ryeo.
Moving forward,
the two institutions, based on principles of mutual respect, reciprocity, and
equality, will collaborate on ▲ mutual visits and
exchanges of students and faculty, ▲ sharing information for
academic research and education, ▲ hosting regular academic
conferences, and ▲ engaging in other activities to promote
academic exchange and cooperation.
Lee Hye-young,
Director of Kwangwoon University's HUSS Project Team, stated, "This
agreement is expected to serve as a foundation for promoting student exchanges
and contributing to global symbiosis." She added, "We look forward to
continuing deep and meaningful collaboration with the College of Humanities and
Social Sciences at Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics."
The Humanities
Utmost Sharing System Project (HUSS Project) is supported by the Ministry of
Education and the National Research Foundation of Korea, and Kwangwoon
University has formed a consortium with four participating universities
(Kookmin University, Sun Moon University, Yeungnam University, and Honam
University). The Global Symbiosis Consortium, led by Kwangwoon University, aims
to cultivate interdisciplinary talent in the humanities and social sciences
through collaborative and shared systems within and beyond the university,
contributing to sustainability and global symbiosis.
