HUSS Project Team Signs MOU with the Korea Enterprises Federation to Cultivate Interdisciplinary Humanities and Social Sciences Talents

The HUSS Project Team of Kwangwoon University, led by Director Lee Hye-Young, and the Korea Enterprises Federation (KEF) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on November 25, 2024, at the KEF headquarters in Mapo-gu, Seoul, under the theme "Fostering Interdisciplinary Humanities and Social Sciences Talents for a Sustainable Society."

 

The signing ceremony was attended by Lee Hye-Young, Director of the HUSS Project Team; Lee Jun-Hee, Deputy Director; Kim So-Young, Professor; Lee Seul-Gi, Professor; Lee Dong-Geun, KEF Executive Vice President; Ryu Ki-Jung, KEF General Manager; Nam Yong-Woo, KEF Managing Director; and Hwang Yong-Yeon, KEF Labor Policy Director.

 

This Memorandum of Understanding was established by the HUSS Project Team and the Korea Enterprises Federation to build a collaborative framework across various fields, aimed at fostering interdisciplinary talents in humanities and social sciences for a sustainable society.

 

Going forward, the two organizations plan to actively collaborate in the following areas: mutual support and cooperation for sustainable development; education and career development related to fostering interdisciplinary talents in humanities and social sciences; and various activities to support the development of the partner organizations.

 

Lee Hye-Young, Director of the HUSS Project Team, stated, "I am confident that the interdisciplinary education capabilities of our university’s HUSS Project Team, focused on fostering a sustainable society, combined with the Korea Enterprises Federation’s leadership in bridging sustainable businesses and society, will create greater opportunities for young people to thrive. We look forward to advancing diverse collaborative efforts together."

 

Lee Dong-Geun, Executive Vice President of KEF, stated, “In an era of rapid technological advancements and societal transformation, cultivating interdisciplinary talents for global sustainable growth and coexistence is a critical responsibility of our time. Through this agreement, KEF will work closely with Kwangwoon University’s HUSS Project Team to create meaningful social outcomes and strive to achieve global excellence in talent development.”
