At the 2024 Overseas Employment Support Best Practices Competition

Kwangwoon University received the Excellence Award at the 2024 Overseas Employment Support Best Practices Competition, organized by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Human Resources Development Service of Korea.

The Human Resources Development Service of Korea organized the competition to showcase exemplary practices from top-performing institutions, selecting three winners in the "Overseas Work Experience Support Program" category. This year, Kwangwoon University won the Excellence Award in the category of "Achievements in Cultivating Global Talent through Credit-Based Programs."

The "Overseas Work Experience Support Program" is a newly launched initiative by the Human Resources Development Service of Korea that provides young individuals with opportunities for overseas work experience and job training, supporting their growth into future talents with global competencies. The Field Placement Service Team submitted a project proposal last March and was selected as an operating institution, receiving 180 million KRW in government funding. Currently, 19 students are gaining work experience in Australia.

Park Se-kyu, Dean of the Office of Student Affairs, expressed his thoughts, saying, "I am delighted that the proactive support from the Field Placement Service Team and the students' dedication to their work experience led to this award." He added, "We will continue to do our best to ensure that students can safely and successfully complete field training in various industries."
