Project Team Signs MOU with the Korea Labor Institute to Cultivate
Interdisciplinary Talent in Humanities and Social Sciences

The HUSS
Project Team (Director Lee Hye-young) at Kwangwoon University signed a
Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Korea Labor Institute on Wednesday,
December 18, 2024, at Hwadogwan. The agreement focuses on fostering
interdisciplinary talent in humanities and social sciences for a sustainable
society. The signing ceremony was attended by HUSS Project Team Director Lee
Hye-young, Deputy Director Lee Joon-hee, Professors Kim So-young and Moon
Kyung-yeon, Korea Labor Institute President Heo Jae-joon, International
Cooperation Office Director Nam Goong-jun, and Team Leader Jung Chul.
This Memorandum
of Understanding (MOU) was established to build a multifaceted collaborative
framework between the HUSS Project Team and the Korea Labor Institute, aiming
to foster interdisciplinary talent in humanities and social sciences for a
sustainable society.
The two
institutions plan to collaborate in the following areas: ▲ mutual support for sustainable development; ▲ educational initiatives and career advancement in fostering
interdisciplinary talent in humanities and social sciences; and ▲ various activities to promote their mutual development.
Lee Joon-hee,
Deputy Director of the HUSS Project Team, stated, “The collaboration between
our university's HUSS Project Team and the Korea Labor Institute aims to
nurture talent equipped to adapt to the evolving labor market, while fostering
social value creation and sustainable development through interdisciplinary
education and research.”
Heo Jae-joon,
President of the Korea Labor Institute, stated, “Through this agreement, both
institutions will work closely together to generate social impact in the field of
sustainable development and make every effort to excel in talent cultivation.”
