Kwangwoon University students at the Kotra Public Institution ESG Management On-site Forum

 

The Humanities Utmost Sharing System Project Team at Kwangwoon University (Director Lee Hye-Young, hereinafter referred to as the HUSS Project Team) held the "Public Institution ESG Management On-Site Forum" on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA).

 

KOTRA is a public institution that plays a vital role in the national economy across various fields, including global trade promotion facilitation of investments between domestic and international companies support for industrial and technological cooperation recruitment of overseas specialists government-to-government export contracts and ESG application support.

 

The Environmental Social Governance (ESG) Management On-site Forum consisted of a field trip to Kotra and a lecture. Kwangwoon University students recognized the importance of supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in international trade and ESG utilization through their on-site visit. The subsequent special lecture provided an opportunity to understand KOTRA's activities and specific roles, fostering meaningful interaction and the exchange of ideas between KOTRA representatives and students.

 

Jung Yun-Seo (Department of Public Administration) shared her thoughts, saying, "It was a great opportunity to communicate with field practitioners from a public institution supporting trade and ESG utilization, and to identify the key competencies that public institutions seek in potential employees."

 

Professor Lee Seul-Gi of the HUSS Project Team, who organized the event, said, "We plan to continue expanding opportunities for students to grow into practically skilled, multidisciplinary talents through collaborations with various institutions."
