The performance presentation, held in December of
last year, aimed to identify and share best practices from Seoul's Campus Town
projects. It featured participation from 11 specialized universities and 16 comprehensive
universities.
The "ONLY Kwangwoon" specialized
startup education program, recognized as a Best Practice, was praised for its
success in fostering technology collaboration. The program involved Kwangwoon
University faculty providing hands-on technology startup education, helping
resident companies enhance their business operations. Additionally, it
facilitated networking among companies, offering opportunities for mutual
cooperation and technology exchange.
In particular, Kwangwoon University Campus Town’s
resident energy company, Resus Co., Ltd., achieved outstanding results through
regular technical consulting and mentoring with the "ONLY Kwangwoon"
participating faculty. In 2024, the company filed three patent applications,
secured a KRW 10 million investment from Kwangwoon University’s technology
holding company, and was selected for the Startup Growth Technology Development
(R&D) program sponsored by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, earning high
praise for these achievements.

Since 2017, the Kwangwoon University Campus Town
Project Management Team has actively participated in Seoul’s Campus Town
initiative for eight years, operating various programs to establish a youth
startup valley in the northeastern region. Leveraging Kwangwoon University’s
strengths in engineering, skilled talent, patents, and expertise, the project
management team has significantly contributed to nurturing youth startup
companies.
